Book with Confidence with Discover Canada Tours

Booking a vacation now may seem daunting at first with the uncertainty of travel due to COVID-19. That is why Discover Canada Tours has put into place a Book with Confidence policy to put your mind at ease when booking your next vacation. We have implemented the Loonie Deposit on all scheduled tours, updated our cancellation policies to be more flexible and have created a more flexible payment plan to spread your payments out. Be assured that when you book with Discover Canada Tours, we have your best interest in mind and will work together to make your next vacation the best vacation you have ever had.

The Loonie ($1) Deposit

We are running a $1 deposit option for all Summer 2021, Winter 2021/22 and Summer 2022 tours. Put down a loonie (that is a $1 coin here in Canada) and secure your spot on the tour. Full payment is only due 60 days prior to your tour departure.

Booking with Confidence

Discover Canada Tours is committed to providing you with the most comprehensive and flexible booking and cancellation policies. The policies are subject to change based on provincial and federal rules. If you book for 2021 and for some reason you can’t travel due to restrictions, we will honour your booking into 2022 or even 2023. This means that you won’t lose out on visiting some of the greatest sights in the world.

Cancellation by Operator

A departure date for a scheduled coach tour offered and operated by Discover Canada Tours will become a guaranteed departure when the minimum number of customers secured by a valid deposit has been reached on that departure. Discover Canada Tours guarantees that all scheduled Tour departures booked and secured with a valid deposit will depart as indicated on the applicable confirmation, subject to reasonable itinerary changes as described in these Terms or good faith health and safety concerns. This guarantee is not applicable in the case of unforeseeable circumstances that prevent us from running the tour. Up to date Tour and itinerary information is available on the Tour Operator’s website or by contacting the Tour Operator. Brochures and other printed materials displaying Tour information and departure dates are subject to change may not be relied upon for purposes of this guarantee. If a Tour, offered and operated by Discover Canada Tours, is cancelled by Discover Canada Tours before the date of departure for reasons other than Force Majeure and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from the Tour Operator:

  • a substitute Tour of equivalent or superior value; or
  • a substitute Tour of lesser value if no Tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available and to recover from the Tour Operator the difference in price between the price of the Tour originally purchased and the substitute Tour; or
  • a full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled Tour.

In the event of a cancellation (by the supplier) of a travel service not operated but offered by Discover Canada Tours and where Discover Canada Tours acts solely as an agent for the suppliers, all effort is made to provide you with a suitable alternative of the travel service. Discover Canada Tours is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled travel service including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.  Where a significant element of a Tour as described cannot be provided after departure, Discover Canada Tours will make suitable alternative arrangements where possible.
