Overview
The perfect holiday for those short of time who want only the highlights of Western Canada in a small group setting with a maximum of 22 guests. Starting in Calgary, the rodeo capital of Canada, you’ll head straight to the picturesque town of Banff in the Rocky Mountains (be on the lookout for Moose and Caribou famous for wandering through town). Here you’ll spend two nights and get to see the mountains and glacier-fed, turquoise lakes that surround this mountain town. You’ll also get to take a gondola up Sulphur Mountain for breathtaking views over Banff before taking a scenic trip to Lake Minnewanka for an easy wilderness hike.
After your stay in Banff, you’ll head west, traveling over Rogers Pass, before arriving in Vernon in the Okanagan. Here you’ll enjoy wine-tasting and an orchard visit before exploring this charming town.
Itinerary
Calgary to Banff
- Depart Calgary from the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown at 9:00am
- We are leaving the city behind us and are heading straight for the crown jewel of Western Canada – The Canadian Rockies
- On the way to Banff, we will visit a few of the spectacular glacier-fed turquoise lakes that the Rockies are well known for including Lake Louise and Moraine Lake
- Upon arrival in Banff enjoy a tour of Banff townsite
- Check into your centrally located hotel on Banff Avenue and the remainder of the afternoon and evening is at your leisure
Banff
- Breakfast included at your hotel
- Enjoy a Gondola Ride up Sulphur Mountain (included) followed by a scenic drive to Lake Minnewanka & Two Jack Lake Loop
- The rest of your day is at leisure for some optional activities, to relax at your hotel, stroll along Banff Avenue for some souvenir shopping
Banff to Vernon
- Breakfast included at your hotel
- Visit Takakkaw falls – the second tallest waterfall in Canada
- Marvel at the vistas at Emerald Lake before driving to the Okanagan Valley
- Enjoy a wine tasting in Vernon
- The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the many murals that can be found in the town of Vernon, highlighting the cities heritage and culture
Vernon to Vancouver
- Breakfast included at your hotel
- Visit and orchard to try the famed Okanagan fruits
- Travel through the Okanagan Valley
- Return to Vancouver at approximately 7:30pm
