Book. Explore. Win – The Ultimate Vancouver Adventure Giveaway
1. Sponsor
The Book. Explore. Win. – The Ultimate Vancouver Adventure Giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Discover Canada Tours (“Sponsor”).
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on August 1st, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on August 31, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry, regardless of country of residence, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Employees, officers, directors and representatives of Discover Canada Tours, Vancouver Whale Watch, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families or persons residing in the same household are not eligible to enter.
By entering the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.
4. How to Enter
Automatic Entry: During the Contest Period, participants will receive one (1) automatic entry for each eligible Discover Canada Tours day tour booking made and fully paid during the Contest Period.
To qualify, the booked day tour must depart on or before September 30, 2026.
Eligible bookings must not be cancelled or refunded. Cancelled, refunded, fraudulent, or incomplete bookings, as well as bookings for departures after September 30, 2026, are not eligible.
There is no limit to the number of automatic entries an eligible participant may receive.
No Purchase Necessary: No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
To enter without making a purchase, complete the online Alternate Entry Form during the Contest Period. Limit one (1) alternate entry per person during the Contest Period. Automatic entries and alternate entries will have an equal chance of winning.
5. Prize
There are two (2) Grand Prizes available to be won.
Each Grand Prize consists of:
- One (1) Vancouver Whale Watch Adventure for Two Adults
- Approximately 3–5 hours in duration
- Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): CAD $400
Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: CAD $800. The prizes are provided by Vancouver Whale Watch.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash. No substitutions will be permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
To redeem the prize, winners must contact Vancouver Whale Watch directly at 604-274-9565 to reserve their preferred tour date and departure time. Reservations are recommended and are subject to availability, weather conditions and Vancouver Whale Watch’s standard booking policies.
Transportation to and from the departure location, accommodations, meals, gratuities, travel insurance, personal expenses and any other costs not specifically identified as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
6. Winner Selection
On or about September 1st, 2026, two (2) potential winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification and Prize Claim
Potential winners will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number provided at the time of entry.
Before being declared an official winner, each selected entrant must:
correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question;
complete and sign a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (the “Release”), confirming compliance with these Official Contest Rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded; and
return the completed Release to Discover Canada Tours within five (5) business days of receiving it, or within another timeframe specified by the Sponsor.
If a selected entrant:
cannot be contacted within five (5) business days;
declines the prize;
fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question;
fails to return the completed Release within the required timeframe;
is determined to be ineligible; or
otherwise fails to comply with these Official Contest Rules,
the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and randomly select an alternate eligible entrant.
8. Skill-Testing Question
As required by Canadian law, each selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, without assistance, before being confirmed as a winner.
9. Publicity
By accepting a prize and signing the Release, each winner grants Discover Canada Tours the right to use their name, city and country of residence, photograph, likeness and statements relating to the Contest for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes in any media, now known or hereafter developed, without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this Contest will be used solely for the administration of the Contest and in accordance with Discover Canada Tours’ Privacy Policy.
Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required to administer the Contest, fulfill the prize or as otherwise required by law.
11. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants and the validity of all entries, and disqualify entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means.
The Sponsor may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, submits fraudulent entries or violates these Official Contest Rules.
If, for any reason, the Contest cannot be conducted as planned due to technical failures, fraud, computer viruses, unauthorized intervention or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that affects the administration, security or integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest, subject to applicable law.
The Sponsor’s decisions concerning all aspects of the Contest are final.
12. Limitation of Liability
By entering this Contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless Discover Canada Tours, Vancouver Whale Watch, their affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability, claims, losses or damages arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook, Instagram), or TikTok. By entering, participants agree to completely release all social media platforms used to promote this contest from any and all liability.
13. Governing Law
This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
14. Winner List
The names of the confirmed winners will be available for sixty (60) days following the prize draw by emailing [contest email address] with the subject line:
