Tour Info

Travel up the Sunshine Coast via boat to a remote part of British Columbia known for it’s wildlife. In the Toba Inlet, on the edge of the Great Bear Rainforest, you will find Grizzly Bears up close feeding on salmon in their natural habitat. Overnight stay is at the unique and beautiful Homfray Lodge with views of Desolation Sound from the dock. This tour is only small groups and have a very low impact on the bears and their habitat.

These tours run in the summer season from May – September. You can book now for 2019 or 2020. The tour begins in Lund, B.C. and if necessary we can provide bus transportation from Vancouver at an extra cost.


3 days, 2 nights with the option to add an extra day/Grizzly Bear viewing tour


  • 2 nights’ accommodation at Homfray Lodge
  • All meals from Dinner on Day 1 to Breakfast on day of departure
  • House Beverages aboard the Pacific Bear and at Homfray Lodge
  • Grizzly Bear Viewing Tour (morning tour, approximately 6 hours including cruise to Toba Inlet with 2-3 hours bear viewing) – exclusive to just 12 guests and guided by Klahoose First Nation Guides.
    • 3 Days/2 Nights: One Grizzly Bear Viewing Tour
    • 4 Days/3 Nights: Two Grizzly Bear Viewing Tours
  • Onboard Naturalist on the cruise between Lund and Homfray Lodge
  • All transportation by boat to the bear viewing stands
  • Luggage transport and handling plus scheduled airport transfer between Lund and Powell River Airport if required
