The new year is a time of making new goals or “New Year’s Resolutions.” We like to think of it as an opportunity to dream up new travel goals! If you are looking for a few things to add to your 2019 must-see list, look no further!

1. Plan a Polar Bear Swim!

Participate in this Canadian tradition by jumping into a glacier lake in the Rocky Mountains and experiencing the rush and reinvigorating feeling the cold water brings to your body and soul! On any of our Summer Rockies tours you’ll have multiple brilliant blue glacier lakes to choose from.

2. Learn Something New!

Learn to surf in Tofino, the surf capital of Canada: take a surf lesson and learn to ride the waves on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island. Or, take a ski or snowboard lesson on one of our Ski & Ride trips and learn to surf the earth!

3. See Canada’s Wonders!

Visit the Yukon, one of Canada’s best Northern Lights viewing areas, for a chance to see the Aurora Borealis, one of Canada’s Seven Wonders. Or, book any Rockies tour to see another Wonder, the Canadian Rockies in all their glory! Finally, at the top of the Seven Wonders shortlist, visit the ancient giant trees in Cathedral Grove en route to Tofino.

4. Take The Plunge!

Are you looking to expand your boundaries, to challenge yourself, to grow as a person, to take the proverbial plunge? Take the actual plunge by bungee jumping in Whistler, in one of the world’s most scenic bungee locations: a bridge over the Cheakamus River amid beautiful old growth forest with the Black Tusk in the background.

5. Drink More Coffee!

Is all this talk of adventures tiring you out already? Join us for a trip south of the border and relax with a cup of Pike Place Reserve from the World’s First Starbucks in Seattle, Washington. Make it an overnight trip and have more time to relax, shop, and explore the unique subcultures of Seattle!

For these and any other travel goals for Western Canada, Discover Canada Tours has you covered. If there’s something you want to do that you don’t see here, get in touch! We are always adding new things to our tours, and regularly setting up custom tours for special adventures!
