Whistler, co-host of the 2010 Olympic Games is only 2 hours from Vancouver on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway. Whistler is consistently ranked as the number one ski resort in North America and features two amazing mountains with epic skiing and snowboarding conditions.

90% of Whistler Blackcomb will be open for skiing / riding during the Olympics, yet it is expected that the skier / rider traffic will be down significantly making this the best time to ski and ride at Whistler. Plus on select dates you can check out the Downhill, Super G and Super Combined events from the on-mountain viewing platforms! (refer to the notes below for details on this).

February 1 - February 11: Tour departs at 7:00am from the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Vancouver, and 7:25am from the Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver.

February 12 - February 28: Tour departs at 6:00am from the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Vancouver, and 6:25am from the Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver.

Day 1   Vancouver to Whistler

• Arrive at the Hyatt hotel by 7:00am (Feb. 1-11) or 6:00am (Feb. 12-28). The exact pick-up location is at 1014 Melville Street (across the street from the Burrard Sky Train Station)
• Second pick-up at Park Royal Mall at 7:25am (Feb. 1-11) or 6:25am (Feb. 12-28). (If you are being picked up here please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure)
• Arrive in Whistler at approx. 9:00am
• Enjoy a full day of skiing, snowboarding on Whistler / Blackcomb Mountain or another exciting winter activity which your guide will help you arrange (optional)
• Optional tour of Whistler Village for those not skiing / snowboarding
• After skiing, absorb the Olympic celebrations in the village (refer to the Notes below for details on the celebrations)
• Depart Whistler at 5:30pm returning to Vancouver at approximately 8:30pm

1. PICK-UP LOCATION
From January 29 - March 1 the pick up location is in front of the Hyatt hotel at 1014 Melville Street (across the street from the Burrard Sky train station). There will be a second pick up at the Park Royal Mall (South East corner of Taylor Way & Marine Drive, in front of the water fountain).
When making the reservation, please select your pick-up location.

2. OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Optional Activities should be booked for and paid in advance. We can not guarantee availability if you wait to book the day of the tour and the price of activities will increase if you do not order and pay in advance.

4. ENTERTAINMENT & CELEBRATIONS WITH WHISTLER LIVE!
During the 2010 Games, there will be six different Whistler Live! sites set up throughout the village featuring extensive and interactive arts and entertainment programming. From morning until night, there will be something inspiring and engaging to see at every turn.

1. Whistler Medals Plaza
Whistler Medals Plaza is the anchor of Whistler Live!, and along with Victory Ceremonies and musical performances will feature the Paralympic Closing Ceremonies. Tickets are required for this.

2. Town Plaza
Town Plaza features CTV sport broadcasting, Sea-to-Sky live art, family entertainment and Omega Bobsleigh photo opportunities.

3. Village Common
Village Common will be the Whistler Live! headquarters with interviews, commentary, digital media arts and a 360? viewable studio.

4. Village Square
As Whistlers? original community celebration site, Village Square will feature a large stage with a focus on live music performances by regional, national and international headliners. A large screen will broadcast sport competitions and digital arts. Don't miss the street performers too!

At the base of Blackcomb and Whistler mountains, Skiers Plaza is always bustling with activity: skiers hopping on lifts, snowboarders finishing runs and visitors and locals alike enjoying apr?s at the many outdoor patios. As a Whistler Live! site, there will be full sport competition and Medal Ceremonies broadcasts along with nightly Fire & Ice shows, DJs, street performers and a mountain canvas art show.
