The Discover Canada Team is a collection of fantastic outgoing Canadians. Our company prides itself on having great people on our team. Some of our guides are listed below: CHRIS I am the best tour guide because……… I am have our guest’s best interests at heart and love to show off our country to people who have never been here. And simply put it is my job to make sure everyone on the tour is enjoying them and having the best experience in Canada possible putting there needs above all others. My favourite tour? I would have to say the Rocky Mountains tour is by far my favourite in the fact that it is probably the best sites to see in Canada and after 4 days on tour with each other everyone has made new friend and had many experiences that they will always remember. Most hilarious experience on tour? 25 Brazilians rolling around in the snow with their shirts off on the glacier. Absolutely priceless!! What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? Lions Bay cliff jumping into the Ocean. Favourite world destination? From what little of the world I have seen thus far, I would have to say the Gili Island in Indonesia When I become I millionaire the first thing I will do is…? Start spending it on the coolest things to do ( Travel ) KEVIN I am the best tour guide because… I know where to find the coolest spots that only the locals know about (if they’re lucky) and after 5 minutes of talking to you I can get a pretty god idea of what places you’ll like the most.
What is your favourite tour and why? Whistler 2 Days!!! It’s the best place for skiing/snowboarding, the nightclubs are awesome, the hotel is super nice and located right in the Village. There’s Bungee Jumping, Tube Sliding, Ziptrek, Horseback riding, White Water Rafting, Cliff Jumping, Skateboarding, Mountain Biking, swimming, Peak to Peak Gondola, Amazing Scenery and awesome people. I think it’s the most fun place in British Columbia and only an hour and a half away from Vancouver. Most hilarious experience on tour? (PG version) 10 Students from Mexico came White Water Rafting with me. My brother told them it was my birthday and they made me crazy by singing Happy Birthday to me over and over again for 2 days. They hoisted me up on their shoulders and carried me around and even bought me a birthday cupcake. I had the best time with them and it was a great birthday. What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? For me the best kept secret is the cliff jumping at Loins Bay or maybe the climbing tree on Cambie street. Favourite world destination? When I become I millionaire the first thing I will do is…? Travel around the world and visit all the friends I’ve made on my tours. MILES I am the best tour guide because… I have never lost a group member! What is your favourite tour and why? Seattle. Because the border guards are so friendly! But more because of the cheap shopping, beautiful scenery, interesting stories, live sports, and secret hangouts (Kerry Park, Madison Beach, the Gum Wall...) Most hilarious experience on tour? Taking Brazilians skiing/snowboarding in Banff at -32 degrees Celsius. They had an amazing time but they were completely outside of their comfort zone! It was great! What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? Prospect Point in Stanley Park. For how amazing this view is I am amazed at how few people visit. Favourite world destination? Nepal for the scenery and culture. Thailand for the parties and beaches. When I become I millionaire the first thing I will do is…? Buy an apartment that will give me a view over our incredibly beautiful city! Then buy something ridiculous like a giraffe of course. JONAS I am the best tour guide because… I swam Lake Louise in November What is your favourite tour and why? Tofino. Awesome nature and wicked surfing! Most hilarious experience on tour? Seeing 2 big horn sheep making loooove! What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? The cliff jumping spot by Lions Bay. Favourite world destination? Australia, but I would love to visit Florida! When I become I millionaire the first thing I will do is…? Rent a penthouse in Vegas! ROB Complete the sentence: I am the best tour guide because … I know all the best secrets and I like to get crazy! What is your favourite tour and why? I really like the Tofino tour because it’s one of the most beautiful places in Canada, and because there are so many different activities to do: surfing, whale watching, kayaking, hiking, and much more. Most hilarious experience on tour? The funniest thing I have ever seen was on a Victoria tour when one of the students was trying to get a photo while feeding a seal. The student was holding a fish above the seal, and looking into the camera. But, the student’s friend couldn’t work the camera so it was taking a long time. The seal got angry because he really wanted the fish, so he used his flipper to splash A LOT of water all over the student! She was shocked. Suddenly the camera worked again and it took a picture of the student’s surprised face while she was soaking wet from head to toe! Ha ha ha! What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? The best kept secret in Vancouver is definitely Deep Cove. It’s quiet, beautiful, and has the best views of the ocean and mountains from the Baden Powell Trail. Favourite world destination? I love all countries, but I really miss Turkey! When I become a millionaire, the first thing I will do is … Start my new food company in Seattle called the Space Noodle! DAVE I am the best tour guide because… I take the time to get to know the guests and make sure they are well looked after and focus on having fun! What is your favourite tour and why? Anything Whistler! Any excuse to go up the Sea to Sky Highway and spend time in “The Village” and with all the adventures, skiing, bungee jumping, zip trekking, Peak 2 Peak everyone always has an awesome day. Most hilarious experience on tour? Watching people go for a swim in Lost Lake when there was still ice on the lake and then chase them around with snowballs! What do you think is the best kept secret of Vancouver? BBQ’s on Jericho beach in the summer Favourite world destination? Franz Joesph Glacier in New Zealand. Mountains, ancient forests and a massive glacier comes down through the middle of it all - amazing!! When I become I millionaire the first thing I will do is…? I would go straight out and buy an Aston Martin DB9.
